FC Schalke 04 became the first German Bundesliga team to drop a soccer kit
for next season when they unveiled their 2016/18 adidas home shirt on
Monday.
The side from Gelsenkirchen will debut the new soccer uniform when they host FC Augsburg on 7th May at the Veltins-Arena.
The Schalke 04 home jersey for their 2016/17 and 2017/18 domestic and
European campaigns uses their customary royal blue in a gradient that
darkens towards its bottom. For the first time ever adidas’ stripes will
not run along the sleeves of a Schalke kit and will appear on its
flanks.
Die Knappen (The Miners) released the jersey with the hashtag
#04everyday since it is designed for casual use along with match play.
Head of marketing at Schalke 04, Alexander Jobst said, “We want to
contribute to the Royal Blue lifestyle with our new soccer kit. Our fans can
wear it not only in the stadium or on the football pitch, but also at
the bar in the evening. Many have been doing so already, but now more
S04 fans will sport our new home kit in their day-to-day life.”
The Schalke 04 2016/18 adidas home uniform is completed with white shorts and mainly blue socks. It will be available at World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, UK Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer and Soccer777
